I-State Truck Center is looking for Diesel Mechanic(s) of all skill levels for our Marshfield, Wisconsin location with a minimum of 3-5 years of Light or Heavy Duty diesel experience. Diesel Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and a passion for working with diesel engines.

Diesel Mechanic Job Duties:

• Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
• Technical degree or certification a plus.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
• Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Diesel Mechanic Requirements:

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
• Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
• Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions.
